Newsletter Editor

Dear SESAM members

My name is Ramawad Soobrah and I am going to be the Newsletter Editor for SESAM between 2009 and  2011. I am training to become a General Surgeon and I am currently working as a Surgical Research & Teaching Fellow at Imperial College London.

I am also doing a part-time Masters in Medical Education at the University of Hertfordshire where my interest in medical simulation first started (courtesy of Guillaume Alinier, whom you all know!). Using my newly acquired knowledge and skills, I have helped in the setting up of a small simulation centre at Northwick Park Hospital where we have already trained our first batch of junior doctors. We are planning to expand further and extend our training facilities to more senior doctors.

If there is any interesting and relevant information you would like to share with other SESAM members or you would like to contribute somehow to this Newsletter, please contact me by email (newsletter@sesam-web.org). The information we would like to provide in our Newsletter include the following:

  • Simulation Centre profiles,
  • Work in Progress,
  • Upcoming Events and Conferences,
  • Book and article reviews (relevant to simulation),
  • Job postings in Simulation Centres, etc

Best Wishes,

Ramawad Soobrah
