What we are using:

METI HPS Full Scale Simulators:

What we are doing:

We have run the centre of simulation since November 1997. In these 3 years we have held more than 100 courses, mainly in ventilation and "crisis resource management (CRM)" with more than 1500 participants.

Our simulator is used at any level in anaesthesiological education. So it is used by students to learn basic skills, e.g. intubations, setting up iv-lines and learning the pharmacological mechanisms of iv-drugs.

It is used by interns to teach special procedures in anaesthesia, e.g rapid sequence induction, maintanance of a narcosis and reversal of neuromuscular blockade. It is used by registrars (residents) to learn how to deal with special or rare scenarios, e.g. Malignant Hyerthermia and other critical cases.

It is used by consultants to teach emergency arrangements and interaction as well as communication.

Beside the usage in clinical education our simulator is also used in:Evaluation of monitors using an anesthesia simulator.Science and research for modelling in programming.
