This year the 22nd SESAM Annual Congress will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 15 to 17 June. We look forward to welcoming you to SESAM 2016, which promises to be an amazing conference, providing a great opportunity to discover new insights on simulation, share knowledge and meet simulation experts from all over the world. Lisbon is a majestic capital filled with beautiful architecture and cultural attractions, hopefully leaving a lasting impression on us all. Abstracts are open and we would encourage you all spread the word among your fellow SIM enthusiasts. We are looking forward to another highly successful event, and hope to see many of you there!.

SESAM MENA Meeting in Dubai

SESAM are proud to be collaborating with the CSC2016 at their third annual conference - SESAM’s second foray in the MENA (Middle East and Africa) region.

To be held from 23-25 February 2016 at the Mohammed bin Rashid Academic Medical Center (MBR-AMC) in Dubai Healthcare City. The MBR-AMC is home to the Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Medical Simulation Center, the first comprehensive simulation training facility of its kind in the region.

Advances in Simulation

Advances in Simulation is the official journal of SESAM. We honourly announced the launch of the Journal in our previous Newsletter. Advances in Simulation provides a forum to share scholarly practice to advance the use of simulation in the context of health and social care. We kindly invite you all to visit the Journal's webpage, read the very valuable articles relevant to simulation and submit your manuscripts.

New EC Members

This year we have elections for two EC positions; Vice President and Treasurer. Whereas our Vice President can apply for a second term, our Treasurer Rainer Gaupp will leave the Executive Committee after 5 years of fantastic work. Even so we are excited to have new EC members to enhance and expand our Society in a positive way.
