Following the postponement of the 26th SESAM Annual Meeting which was due to take place in Milan in June 2020 - I am honoured to invite you to the reconvened meeting that will be held in Seville, Spain from 14 - 16 April 2021.
I am very much looking forward to welcoming you all and to have the opportunity to bring our whole community together once again, to recognise the extraordinary work of our healthcare community and to reflect on the events of the past year and the learning and new ways of working that we have all embraced.
Our meeting will offer a variety of engaging keynote lectures and state-of-the-art sessions, along with a selection of educational workshops which will share the science from the postponed meeting and introduce new content developed specifically for our additional COVID-19 track.
Our exhibition provides a great opportunity to connect with exhibiting companies and see the latest products and technology. We thank our Strategic Partners, sponsors and exhibitors for their continued support of SESAM and its mission.
I look forward to seeing you all in Seville!
Dear SESAM Community
Preparations for hosting you at a traditional face to face SESAM meeting in Seville are progressing well. Though we continue to plan positively for our meeting in Seville next spring, we are of course aware of concerns and questions about the ongoing global situation and how this may affect the meeting.
Please be assured that the SESAM Executive Committee is regularly reviewing the situation and working with the Scientific Committee and suppliers to ensure that the meeting next year is both safe and successful for all involved.
Our aim is to deliver a meeting that delivers opportunities to network, share and grow in the welcoming environment SESAM meetings are known for. We are evaluating how best to use the space at the venue to ensure safety for the community should social distancing restrictions remain in place and are reassured that the venue is working to the very highest standards to help achieve this.
In addition, we are also evaluating innovative options for the meeting to take on a hybrid format that includes interactive virtual elements to allow the inclusion of those not able to attend our meeting in Seville in person.
As ever we will continue to update you about the plans for the meeting and look forward to seeing you again in Seville.
Venue: FIBES II, FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre, Seville, Spain
