"The University of Algarve offers a 4-year post-graduate medical program with a problem-based learning curriculum and an integrated medical simulation program. Our team consists of André Silva, Carlos Batista, Francisco Fernandes, Guilherme Henriques, Tiago Cardoso and tutor Dr Alexandra Binnie. This team was the winner of the national simulation competition - II Scrub Up. We are delighted to be representing Portugal at SESAM 2018."

The Spanish team is a inspiring interprofesional group of 4 students (3 nursing students and 1 medical student) from various locations and universities, in the final years of their degrees. They have participate in the national SimStudents activities this year and are happy to represent Spain in SESAM 2018.

The Dutch team is a group of 5 enthusiastic medical students all in their final year of medicine. They've all be doing their final internships at the ICU department or anesthesiology department or both. All have some experience in education through medical simulation and currently the team is getting ready for the Simchallenge in Bilbao!

Koç University School of Medicine (KUSOM) provides six years of medical education, excluding English preparatory year. Graduates of Koç University School of Medicine are expected to be highly qualified medical doctors with sound scientific knowledge, good communication skills and ethical values, adequate clinical experience to handle most medical problems and ready to pursue further education in diverse fields. Team KUSOM members are 6th year students at the medical faculty and the mentor Dr.Gonenli is an Internal Medicine Specialist.
