Background history

In 2019, SESAM launched the SiReN Research Network, drawing together those with an interest in simulation research across Europe and beyond to push the boundaries of simulation science and pave the way for multi-site projects and programmes of simulation research. Gabriel Reedy lead the initial establishment of the network, that culminated with its first meeting at SESAM in Glasgow.

Since then, SiReN has hosted 3 network events, including 2 face to face meetings and one online meeting, and continues to plan new opportunities to bring together the simulation research community to share practice and collaborate.
