The Human Simulation Center (HSC) is located at the Institute of Emergency Medicine at the University Clinic of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. 191 m² for simulation along with 140 m² for debriefing and medical education are included in the institute building at the university hospital campus.
A special focus is set on the training of decision making and teamwork, best described by the generic term of Crisis Resource Management (CRM).
Debriefings are conducted by highly trained simulation instructors, who are acting as facilitators in the learning process.
Based on our experience in building the simulation centre and our extensive network and training expertise we offer consultancy services for other educational institutions seeking to establish simulation-based educational programs.
Our expertise ranges from curricular development and 'Train the Trainer' courses through technical equipment to space and workflow design.
Our concept is best explained in graphical form by our honeycomb picture.
