Ulufer Sivrikaya

G.Ulufer Sivrikaya, MD,  was graduated from School of Medicine of Cukurova University in 1992. She completed her residency in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at Sisli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, in 1997.  She worked as a Consultant Anaesthetistat the same Hospital between 1997-2011 and then in Antalya Training and Research Hospital between 2011-2016 .

She is a Teaching Staff in Anaesthesiology and a Lecturer in Medical Personel Continuining Education since 1999. She had a master degree in Medical Education. She is also certified as basic life support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Instructor. She is working as an Editorial Board Member and a Reviewer in different national and international journals. 

She started to work in Medical Simulation as a part-time Instructor at SIMMERK in 2008. It is a Medical Simulation Center that was established as a unit of Istanbul Health Directorate under the authority of Ministry Health of Turkey and has a leading role as being the first dedicated medical simulation center in Turkey. She had a role in different simulation projects and administrations; the Coordinator of Medical Simulation Project of Antalya Health Directorate, Director of Region Training, Research and Simulation Centre in Antalya, Coordinator of Ministry Health of Turkey's formation of "Pre-Hospital Training and Simulation Centres Dissemination Program” and implementation of "Train the Trainers of Medical Simulation Application" Program.  She is now working as the Director of Koc Healthcare, Advanced Learning and Simulation Center, in Istanbul.

She has been serving as the Secretary in Executive Committee of SESAM since 2015. She was elected for this position as her second term in Paris at SESAM 2017. She is also the President of Society of Medical Simulation (MedSimDer) in Turkey.
