The simulation centre (LabForSIMS) was officially opened in the Paris Sud Medical School in 2012.

LabForSIMS is now actively involved in almost all fields of simulation, including patient-healthcare provider relations, high-fidelity simulation and CRM, and in the development of serious games for many medical and non-medical specialties.

LabForSIMS is included in the training curricula of more than 2000 students annually, and it has developed research activities with both technological (i.e. augmented reality) and educational aims.
