Previous SESAM Contributions:

I first attended SESAM in Glasgow, where I was attending as SSH President Elect, the year before COVID. I have continued to follow and interact with SESAM with increasing energy over the past five years. I most recently represented SSH to the SESAM collaboration led by Cristina Diaz-Navarro that produced the "Global Consensus Statement on Simulation-based Practice" paper, which was published in May of 2024, and continues to create new opportunity for the global community.

Planned Contributions:

I believe that SESAM is uniquely positioned for growth, even with the turmoil that continues worldwide. The energy and opportunities that SESAM has and is creating and supporting reminds me of where the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) was in 2010-2013. I am of the strong impression that SESAM can and should expand its influence and value throughout Europe and beyond - and not at the expense of other societies, networks, and organizations.

Previous SESAM Contributions:

Over the past five years, my contribution to SESAM has been active and committed, not only as a member but also in my role as President of SESSEP during my term (2022-2024). I have supported all SESAM congresses, facilitating and promoting collaboration between societies and working to establish smoother communication and joint actions among various entities in the field of clinical simulation.

Planned Contributions:

My approach to contributing to SESAM is based on my experience in developing and implementing simulation programs both at the university level and in the healthcare and hospital settings. I firmly believe that teamwork is essential to achieving success in simulation, and my goal will be to continue promoting this approach within SESAM.

Previous SESAM Contributions:

Over the past five years, I have been actively involved in SESAM and truly value the sense of community it offers. I’ve had the pleasure of attending SESAM conferences in Lisbon and Seville, where I not only gained fresh perspectives on simulation-based education but also made lasting friendships and professional connections.

Planned Contributions:

As a Member at Large, I would aim to be a flexible and supportive presence on the Board—ready to listen, represent the wider membership, and contribute wherever I can add value. I see the role as one of connection, communication, and collaboration—working alongside fellow board members to represent the diverse voices within our community.

Previous SESAM Contributions:

Over the past five years, I have been actively involved with SESAM, with a particular focus on educational development and innovation. I attended my first SESAM conference in Sevilla in 2022 and have participated every year since, continuously expanding my network and exchanging knowledge with peers.

Planned Contributions:

In the position of Member at Large, I plan to actively contribute across several areas, including Communities of Practice, Affiliations, Accreditation, Industry Liaison, Mentoring, and etcetera. I am committed to engaging in every responsibility, as I firmly believe that my background in simulation-based education enables me to give back meaningfully to the SESAM community.

As a candidate for the Member-at-Large position on the SESAM Executive Committee, I bring a strong commitment to advancing healthcare simulation and a strategic vision for SESAM’s continued growth. My background combines hands-on experience in simulation leadership with ongoing academic work—most notably, a PhD project focused on simulation to enhance patient safety, in collaboration with WHO.

Previous SESAM Contributions:

I became an active member of SESAM in 2022 when I joined the Scientific Committee Associates' Group. For the past three years, I have reviewed abstracts for the SESAM Annual Meeting. In 2023, I also became the chair of the Technology and Innovation Community of Practice (CoP).

Planned Contributions:

I would like to contribute to making the society even more multidisciplinary and open to new professionals who help make the magic happen, allowing students to practice in a safe yet engaging environment worldwide. I strongly believe that every organization, society, and group dedicated to medical education should include technical specialists.

Previous SESAM Contributions:

From my initial involvement as a research contributor and participant at the Annual Meeting, I have asked my colleagues and mentors whether it would be too bold to share my ideas and take an active role within the Executive Committee. That journey has brought me to the end of my term as Vice President, where I’ve been responsible for building and maintaining affiliations with national and international societies.

Planned Contributions:

I wish to expand SESAM’s network and make a global impact in healthcare simulation. Drawing from the international expertise I’ve gained in Australia and Canada, I aim to strengthen global collaboration and support the next generation of simulation faculty and leadership. One of my key goals is to enhance the Mentorship Programme and work closely with SimUniversity students to develop an active Early Career Community of Practice.
