Simulation Centre Networking Project
We are inviting all Simulation Centres throughout Europe, both large and small to present their centre and the courses run for inclusion in a Simulation Centre Network. This is accessible to everyone via our website and we believe will provide:
- better communication with Simulation enthusiasts.
- information sharing between Simulation Centres.
- an updated list of Simulation Centres in Europe.

Zielona Gora, Poland
The Mono-profile Medical Simulation Centre is based at the University of Zielona Gora, Poland – Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and is dedicated for nursing students. We started in 2017 with public tenders and renovations of parts of the building. In January 2018 we organized the first basic courses in medical simulation methodology for nurses, who are presently teaching in our simulation centre. MCSM comprises one high fidelity lab with three patient simulators (adult, child and infant), a technical skills lab, a basic nursing skills lab, a debrief room, BLS and ALS training labs and two OSCE labs. Our team consists of 4 medical simulation instructors, 2 technicians and 8 educators trained in the methodology of medical simulation. In 2018 and the first quarter of 2019, we organized 12 courses: introduction to medical simulation, OSCE, and low and medium medical simulation. We have been teaching our students since February 2019. On daily basis, members of our team improve their skills by participating in conferences (SESAM 2017, Medical Education Forum in Krakow, International Conference organized by The Military Medical Training Centre in Lodz). We have also organized the first EXPO Medical Simulation Conference in Zielona Góra. It took place in 2018. This event will constantly be present in our annual calendar. We are looking forward to the next in December. MCSM is cooperating with The Military Medical Training Centre in Lodz, Collegium Medicum of UJ in Krakow, The Medical Simulation Centre in Gdansk, The Medical Simulation Centre in Poznan, and Simulation Centres in Kielce and Rzeszow. This year we are starting to organize the competitions for medical simulations.
Brno, Czech Republic
The Stroke Simulation Center Brno, Czech Republic, provides high-fidelity trainings on acute stroke treatment. Courses are focused on hospital logistics and application of intravenous thrombolysis in acute stroke with the goal to shorten door-to-needle time in stroke treatment internationally. Our courses emphasize on team work and decision making as well. Simulation courses are dedicated to all professionals involved in acute stroke care. We provide training in Brno simulation facility, in-situ and in other training places across the world. The stroke simulation program is part of the International Clinical Research Center of St. Anne´s University Hospital, Brno.
We use simulation to help solve challenges and questions we encounter as a health organisation, to promote change in people, teams, and the entire organization. Our simulation program is structured in four lines of service: SIMTrain, SIMTest, SIMEngineer and SIMNetwork.
